Our methodology
- Each client's needs are individually
assessed at telephone or face to face interview, before work
commences.
- We talk about your skills, experience,
achievements, but also who you are so that we may include a personality
snapshot, because employers have always selected people on more
than just skills and experience. They want to know about you,
your values and whether you are a good fit for their corporate
culture.
- Our information
gathering process takes the form of a relaxed conversation. More
like a chat between friends, but it is nonetheless investigative
and probing.
- When we have finished talking, usually
about an hour initially, there will be a few days (between 2
and 4 depending on the urgency) before you see a first draft.
- We
then discuss your feedback with you and edit the document until
you say “I am happy with that”.

Addressing position criteria
More and more employers in
both the private and govt sectors are requiring applicants to address
in writing complex selection criteria, to assist them to short-list
applicants for interviews. Each applicant is rated on how closely
he or she meets each of the criteria and then ranked accordingly.
At Successful CVs we have many
years of experience in assisting our clients with these criteria
statements. It is vital to address all essential criteria, in our
experience, failure to do so will result in immediate exclusion
from further process and the application will be culled. The information
can be presented in a separate document that is attached to the
CV or as a continuation of the application covering letter.
Addressing
criteria for us is by quotation and based on our hourly consulting
and writing rate of £28 per hour.
